For over a hundred years, a pack of 10 or so schools roamed the Pacific Coast and surrounding areas. It had survived realignment before, but in 2016, when the tectonic plates of college sports shifted again, the pack took a hit and couldn’t shake it. It went down, and the vultures started circling before it could get back up. When most of the schools scattered far and wide, it looked like it wouldn’t get back up at all, and the pack was presumed dead. Some sent flowers, some danced on its grave.
Now it’s back.
